Neck Wallet
by canaima25
Since im an experinced backpacker, I know how important it is to keep your money and documents where its safe. And therefore I also know how easy it is to loose it. Here a neck wallet Can be useful. It has some downsides though if you wear thight clothes, like tanktops ect. People can see the wallet through the shirt. It also makes you ... sweat on the stomach which is quite uncomfortable especially in the long run. If you have long hair, the strap will get stuck in the hair all the time, which Can be pretty anoying . I would recommend spending the few extra dollars on a moneybelt, which easily can be hidden under the shorts/shirt and is much more comfortable to wear. If there is one thing you definately don't wanna do, its getting frustrated over something that plays such a big part every day on your vacation. Read the complete review |

Eoco Cushtie
by GuruOnAMountain
I guess I'm quite a tactile person and enjoy squishing things, stroking things and just generally getting touchy feely with objects. In shops I'm always picking things up to handle them and this was how I met and fell for my Cushtie.
I'd seen these cushions before in the plastic bags that they come in but I'm not a very ... cushiony person so it had never attracted my attention. They are capsule shaped, not pillow shaped and come in a range of colours (the most commonly available seeming to be pink). Anyway, while out shopping one day I was in a shop that had a Cushtie out on display and me, being the tactile person I am, reached out for it. That's when I found out exactly what the selling point of these rather small and otherwise seemingly useless creations is!
The exterior of the cushion is made from very soft fabric. It is hard to describe as it isn't soft in the way that cotton is soft but an entirely different and unusual feeling. It feels synthetic but very smooth, soft and strokeable. It feels almost silky. Inside it is filled with beans such as those that are in Beanie Babies instead of padding. This makes your hand sink into it when you touch it and when you hold it, it almost moves about in your hands like it has a bit of a life of its own.
It makes it a great tactile toy for people like me. You can fold it in half, stuff parts of it inside itself, flatten it out, flail it around the air like a lassoo or just sit stroking it! It is strange to describe but very addictive!
As it is so soft and mouldable it wouldn't do a great job as a cushion or a pillow if you needed it to provide some form of support for your head or back etc. but I do like to sometimes rest my cheek against it when sleeping as the material is very soothing and it just squishes into your face.
The range of colours is fairly large, too, and are quite funky. There is the negative, though, that the cover can't be taken off the Cushtie if it needs a wash which is sad as mine is looking a bit dirty after years of being fondled. A damp cloth usually gets most marks off it, though.
The range has expanded ever since and they now have travel versions, heart shaped versions and neck support versions. They are quite widely available and are currently retailing on Amazon for around £10, depending on the colour or version. Read the complete review |

Balanzza Luggage Scales
by missj1981
I love checking for cheap flights abroad via Ryan Air or EasyJet. But there is always a small problem and thats the weight of the luggage you can bring along. The luggage with Ryanair & EasyJet is restricted and when you take too much then you have pay extra. We regulary travel and I hate worrying about the weight of our luggage. We ... eventually went looking for a "compact" scale to take on travel. A friend of ours had a Balanzza and told us he was very pleased so we decided to buy one to.
The Balanzza is a compact travel scales and weighing only 83 grams. It is made of sturdy plastic. He is very easy to take because he is not large he fits in almost anywhere, size 12cm long, 4cm wide and 3.1 cm high.
Package Contents:
- Of course, the Balanzza
- 2x CR2032 batteries
- Quick Start Guide.
He is very easy to use as you put in the batteries and he is ready for use. Put the suitcase / luggage on the ground and open the strap of the Balanzza. Connect the belt and make sure the bag is connected to the Balanzza, turn it on and wait until it reaches 0. Lift it up and you will see that instead of 0 a another number comes up. That is, the weight of the bag.
There are 3 buttons on the Balanzza, from left to right
- Power: Self-explanatory.
- Unit: Allows you to choose between kilograms and pounds
- Reset: Allows you to put the scale back to 0.
In the end we are very pleased with the Balanzza. It's easy to use and very compact with a lightweight design. Since it only weight 83 grams it's no hassle to take with you on travel. It has a clearly readable display and 2 different weighing untis. It weight up to 44 kilograms or 100 pounds precisely. Five stars for me. Read the complete review |
