“ Type: Toiletry Bag / Case „
I have a ridiculous amount of make-up that I have collected over the years, along with various brushes and tools to help apply it. I have a regular make up bag but I also bought a case a few years ago to put all the other items that I do not use on a day to day basis. I used to keep them all over the house in drawers and in the bathroom on shelves; but thought it would be much better to have them in a vanity case, which I could store away easily in the wardrobe. It is not often the case leaves the house so it is in perfect condition apart from the insides being stained with the remnants of eye shadow and various pencils that don't have lids. I did take the case out of the house a few months ago though when my friend got married and she asked me to do her make up! I threw my regular make up in the case and took it to the hotel suite, the bag made it easy to find exactly what I needed and kept everything in one place. For anyone who is looking for a good storage place for all their make-up, lotions and potions then this is a really good quality one as it has pockets and compartments for everything. It is also reasonably priced; I think I bought mine from Debenhams for £20.00 in the sale. This should last me a long time and also help preserve the lifetime of my make up by keeping it protected and neat.
The bag is designed to be carried round so there are a number of carrying options. There is a handle at the top, to carry by hand or there is a shoulder strap. I used the shoulder strap when carrying the case outside to the hotel as it freed up my other arms to be laden with my outfit! When I am storing the vanity case in the house, I unclip the strap and store it in one of the pockets of the case. This makes the case neater and less untidy in the cupboard.
The exterior design of the bag is very attractive, it is a mixture of fake crocodile leather and a thick polyester material in black. It looks the part and I enjoy keeping my bits and pieces in such an attractive bag. It does not look cheap or tacky as some fake leather can.
The main body of the bag has two zips that meet in the middle, so that you can slip a padlock around them and lock them together. As I'm not worried my boyfriend is stealing my make up (although I wish he would sport the Jack Sparrow look every now and then!) I tend not to lock it, however if you were using the case abroad for travel, you can lock it for your own protection.
Inside the bag, it is lined with a shiny sort of material that does wipe clean, however mine now has ingrained make up smeared on it. There are two sections to the interior, these are both fairly large and there is plenty of room for tall bottles or trays of eye shadow pallets. There are also three zippered compartments for various items. I use on of this for a French manicure set as it is nice to keep it separate from other items but altogether. In the other pocket I keep tissues and cotton wool sticks and pads. There is also a detachable mirror so you can use it to apply your make up if you need it. You can leave it in the case or remove it if necessary.
This is a top quality case, it is really robust and sturdy which is important as you don't want anything getting squashed and it is nice to keep everything in one place. I like the design of the case, it is very attractive looking and looks the part and there is plenty of room inside for all my bits and pieces. If I look after it, it should last me a long time and hopefully will not have to think about replacing it for a number of years.
As elegant as the street it's named after. An under-stated designer case with up-to-date fashion styling and mock-croc detail on the front.
