Advantages: Safe and secure way to keep travel documents together, good price
Disadvantages: None so far
Whilst looking around for a travel wallet, in which to store passports, boarding passes and any other essentials pieces of paper that are necessary when at the airport, we found various types - some leather, some bulky, others extremely small, and all at a wide range of prices.
On a shopping trip to a nearby town, we came across this design go passport control (wallet) for £6.99 in the luggage section of the local store. I had already looked at it on amazon, but unfortunately it wasn't available to purchase at the time, but I was glad to be able to have a good look inside it, which is obviously not possible when buying online. This product, along with many others, can be purchased for the same price at their online store: www.design-go.com
This travel wallet of 'passport control' as it is called on the packaging, claims to be 'security for your passport and travel documents', which is exactly what we were looking for.
This wallet is made of black fabric, rather than more expensive leather types, and has a security wrist strap on the back, which we haven't quite figured out what exactly its purpose is. It measures approx 22cm x 12 cm
(almost 9 inches x 5 inches) and has a velcro strip to ensure easy and quick access (quite useful when reaching the boarding gate or immigration control, at the front of a long queue!)
Upon opening the velcro stripped flap, there is a long zipped pocket, which could easily hold board passes or other flight information (so long as it is folded up quite small). Inside is the main compartment, which has pockets on either side. On the front inside, there is another smaller meshed zipped pocket, which could hole some currency for example, since the mesh allows you to see through it. On the opposite side, are three more pockets of various sizes, ideal for storing passports, credit cards, and other travel documents.
We have only just recently purchased this item, so it will be a few months before we get to try it out properly at the airport, however, I am extremely impressed with this travel wallet, especially for the price. I know from looking inside the wallet, that we will be able to confidently and securely place both our passports, boarding passes, some currency, and other folded travel documents inside this productm, which is exactly what we were wanting it for.
At a price of £6.99 it is the perfect accessory for the airport, when you need to keep things together safely, but at the same time, be able to locate and produce documents quickly, without fear or things dropping out. We are looking forward to using this wallet properly in the summer, but I know it has been a great purchase, and would highly recommend it!
Summary: A great addition to your travel luggage.
