A cushtie Christmas pressie!
Member Name: anwar7
Advantages: soft,comfortable and tactile
Disadvantages: not washable
Last Christmas I decided to buy a few of my friends a gift that I owned myself and found really useful. The gift I am talking about is the cushtie .For those of you who have never experienced a cushtie or have never heard of them, let me enlighten you!
The cushtie is basically a fat sausage shaped pillow that you can squish into shape. It measures 39.9 x 46 x 66 cm and is very light. The cushtie has a cover made of 84% polyester and 16% polyurethane. Inside are thousands of tiny polystyrene micro-granules that allow the cushtie to mould to your body.
I suffer with a bad back and find placing the cushtie in the small of my back when I am sitting watching T.V or working on the computer really helpful. The cushtie can also be used as a pillow and is great to take camping or on long car journeys. My children both have a cushtie in blue and seem to find it comforting when they are travelling. It also helps them top sleep, something we all benefit from! The cushtie is light enough to be taken as hand luggage as it will squash into a small bag. It really is a great asset for long haul flights!
The cushtie is lovely and soft to the touch and really tactile. It moulds to your body and returns to its original shape when not in use. It is very hard wearing and after a years use looks a little grubby but has no other sign of wear.
The cushtie comes in either blue or pink and we have two in blue and one pink. I bought my cushties from a local department store and paid around £10. However I have done some research and see that play.com is selling cushties for just £5 will free delivery! They really do make a great Christmas present.
Unfortunately the Cushtie is not washable, although I have sponged the outer cover with no ill effects. My pink cushtie tends to show the dirt more than the blue version. If you use the cushtie as a pillow you will probably be aware of the micro-granules making a noise when you move your head and you may find this annoying.
There is something very comforting about the cushtie and I can highly recommend it!
