Introducing Something Amazing

Disadvantages: It can't be washed
I first heard about these on the Dooyoo website, I'd read a review about one and thought I'd like one of those, but never really got round to buying one. But then I kept hearing about them more and more and decided to check out Amazon and see what people there were saying about them. The more I read the more I thought it was time I bought one for myself. So after much deliberation about what color I wanted, I don't know why it took me so long to decide on the color there were only 3 colors, black, pink and blue, to choose from after all. In the end I decided on Black, I thought I couldn't go wrong with that color.
~I wasn't sure what to expect~
Although I'd read plenty about these Cushtie cushions I still wasn't sure what to expect when it finally got to me. On opening the package which I might add felt extremely light, almost as if there was nothing in the package at all. But on opening I was greeted with a plastic drawstring bag, with "Original Cushtie" written on it, I was quite surprised of the quality of this bag as it was only really part of the packing, I had read that the Cushtie had it's own carry bag but I wasn't expecting anything quite as good. Anyway I pulled out the Cushtie and was instantly delighted with what I could feel. The softness and squidgy feeling was lovely. I must have stood there just squeezing and poking this one foot long squidgy cushion for I don't know how long.
My husbands initial response when he came in from work and saw it propping up my laptop was "Now what have you been buying, what on earth is that?" I was all excited about it and instantly told him to feel it. He loved it and instantly ran off with it. I told him I could buy us all one meaning my son also and his response was "I don't need one, I've already got one". So my Cushtie was an instant hit with everyone, but I'm not surprised really, it's impossible not to like this Cushtie, there is absolutely nothing not to like about it. (Maybe I should have opted for the pink one, at least then I'd know my Cushtie was safe and not going to be stolen by one of the boys!)
My Cushtie is just like a mini bean bag only the little foam balls inside the Cushtie feel a lot smaller than them in a regular bean bag. The material my Cushtie is made from is 100% Polyester and is quite stretchy, but I guess with the amount of prodding and poking my Cushtie is getting it's just as well it streches. To me it looks a bit like an old pillowcase material and feels like it as well, although don't get me wrong, it feels wonderfully soft to touch, not at all harsh or rough. It is an oblong shape with round pieces of the material at each end. It is actually made up of 3 individual pieces of material, all sewn together to make the most delightful, comfortable thing I've ever had the pleasure to squish and lean on.
~Beware of imitations~
I know my Cushtie is the real deal as it has the tag to prove it. I guess there must be lots of fake Cushties going round that aren't made quite as well as the real thing. My Cushtie looks to be excellently made, all the sewn edges are very neat and precise, no messy bits of stitching that look like they could come undone at any minute. Now that would be a nightmare as the foam beads inside the Cushtie are loose and not held together in a protective bag such as the polystyrene balls in a regular bean bag. I dread to think of the mess my Cushtie would make should it ever split, as I have experienced the mess loads of polystyrene balls can make and how difficult it is to pick them all up off the floor, so there's no way I want to go through anything like that again in a hurry. Thankfully the stitching on my Cushtie looks to be very secure.
Basically, I love my Cushtie, how could I not love something that gives me so much comfort and feels so nice to touch. But I didn't just buy it so I had something nice to prod and poke. My reasons for wanting this Cushtie were to make things more comfortable for my wrist whilst typing on my laptop. I'll explain what I mean.
~Reasons for purchasing~
I use my laptop whilst sitting on the sofa, I have a little table which holds my laptop in a perfect position for me to be able to type, the only thing is I have always had to prop up my right wrist with cushions in order for me to rest it comfortably when my Arthritis flares up, which unfortunately is quite often. I don't want my Arthritis flare ups to get in the way of my typing and with support from the cushions I used I was able to carry on. But cushions were really not the best idea as they don't move to accommodate my wrist as I move my hands, so although I could manage just fine with them, I really needed something better. So this is where my Cushtie comes in. I have replaced the cushions with my Cushtie and because I can squeeze my Cushtie into different positions, I can line it up exactly where I need it and it is absolutely fantastic, the difference it makes in comparison to the cushions I was using is so good, I really am amazed at how much more comfortable my wrist is now when I type.
I love my Cushtie so much I now take it out with me on long car journeys, when my husband drives I can sit with my cushtie pushed up against the car door and it molds itself around my head making it very comfortable for me to rest should I become tired. To feel it is to believe it as far as these Cushtie cushions are concerned. I have read numerous things about these Cushties how people use them for different areas of their body to ease any area where they may be feeling uncomfortable. People rave about how much these little cushions have helped ease them when they have had any discomfort. One person had said how much pain he had been in in his lower back as he was constantly sat at his computer, but on buying one of these Cushties and placing it behind him on the chair, it had made such a difference to him and no longer felt as much pain now he had the comfort of his Cushtie cushion to ease it. Another spoke of how they had rested a sprained ankle on one and how comfortable the Cushtie had felt underneath their ankle.
It seems the uses for these Cushties are endless, I haven't read or heard anything that I would personally call negative about these Cushties. I think they would make ideal gifts and as Christmas is just around the corner, I for one may be stocking up of them as I know the Cushtie cushion would be a hit with anyone male or female.
~The right decision~
I am really pleased with my purchase, it cost me £9.99 from Amazon and in my opinion it's worth every penny. Like I just mentioned, I am now thinking of buying both my in-laws one of these Cushtie cushions for Christmas, as I know both of them would benefit from using them for different reasons.
They do say however, that these Cushtie cushions are not suitable for small children. I guess they could split them and the thought of the mess is really not worth thinking about. But there are probably other reasons why these cushions aren't suitable for young children, for example you would never put one of these Cushties in with a baby, common sense tells you that would be wrong. Maybe with supervision these Cushties would be alright for a child to play with. As I personally don't have any small children this isn't an issue for me, but I would advise for those of you with small children to think carefully before allowing your child to be let loose with one of these.
~So to sum up~
This Cushtie cushion is something I think most people would benefit from having, even if you have no aches and pains (but my guess is most people will at some point suffer some sort of aches and pains) this Cushtie cushion is just great for relieving stress as well, you can use it as you would a stress ball for example, you can squish and squeeze this Cushtie any which way you like and it will instantly maintain it's original shape. As far as durability goes I can't really say, as I have only had my Cushtie for a few months and I guess over time the foam beads inside will not be as full of life as they seem to be right now. But for now it serves me well and I can't imagine how I managed now without it. It appears to not be washable and cannot be dry cleaned, Although it does state that the cover can be hand washed with a mild detergent, I'm not sure I would want to wash my Cushtie though for fear of the foam beads inside it becoming damaged. Maybe a good idea I went for the black one as I can wipe it down with a damp cloth and no stains are likely to show as it's such a dark color. I recommend this Cushtie 100% if you decide to buy one you'll see exactly what I mean.
When I started out writing this review, I really didn't intend on it being quite so long, but the more I sat and thought about this simple little thing better known as "The Cushtie Cushion" the more I wanted to write about how great it is and just got carried away with myself, so I do apologize to those of you who have trawled through the entire review, but for those of you who decided to skim through (I don't blame you) I can quickly just say, if you are thinking of buying one of these and are undecided as to whether it would be worth your while, I can tell you from my own experience, that it truly is worth every penny you will spend on it.
5 stars for this Cushtie it deserves no less
Thank you for reading my review which may also be posted on other sites.
