Packing to go away on a short break or long holiday is always a little stressful and lots of times I have packed my bag the night before and woke up thinking, have I remembered to pack everything. Then I saw this Superdrug Clear PVC Vanity Bag for £3.00 in Superdrug and tyhought it was a great idea for anyone like me who is forgetful about what beauty products and toiletries you have packed as you can see through the clear PVC package. It's a very basic design with two zippers which go around the top of the lid and meet in the middle, these can be locked together if you have a small padlock to keep your make up or jewellery safe whilst traveling. I like this as it is cheap and cheeful and does the job it's made for. It stands 12.5cm high and is 17cm wide, so you can fit a few items in it. I like to buy the mini beauty products which you can get in the Savers shops and then I can get more items in the clear bag. For travelling this is a good bag to use as you can wipe it clean if you have any spillages in transit. It holds a few beauty products, face cloth, face wipes, toothpaste and other assessories you may need on your travels. I can recommend this to you if your looking for a handy vanity bag to take with you on a journey as this one is usually always in stock in the store and you can also buy them online at the super drug site. For me, it has been an assest when I'm packing to go away so it gets my vote of aproval. Cheap and cheerful and easy to clean, a simple design for a handy product that although it only cost £3. I have used it many times over the past year when I have been camping and going to stay at friend's houses. It also keeps your things dry when your camping if your bag happens to get wet in a down pour.
I have quite alot of makeup and usually store it in small storage containers, but when I saw this makeup bag in Superdrug I decided it was a much prettier alternative to storing my makeup so I bought a few. I bought mine in store to save on postage and it's also available online. As I have a Superdrug Beauty Card, I also got 90 points added to it from buying the 3 bags (30 points each). The bag was £3.09 which I thought was a bit of a random price (the 9p!), but I do think the price is reasonable although if you have alot of makeup like me it can get a little expensive. I bought 3 of the bags and it came to £9.27 so it's not excactly the cheapest method of makeup storage when plastic containers and small storage draws can be found in Poundland, however as I said before the bag does look alot better and it also is of good quality. The bag is shaped like a vanity box and is 100% PVC so it has a thick plasticy feel to it but it's soft at the same time if that makes sense. It is transparent and has pink piping detail on the bottom and pink material on the top where the zip is. There are 2 zips which go right around the bag so it opens up properly, and the zips have pink fabric attached to them so they are easier to grip and pull - I have had no issues with the zips getting stuck either. The bag is very girly due to the pinkness but I do think the pink adds a bit of a young look to it (more of a makeup bag for young teenagers then young adults), however this doesn't really bother me as it does the job in keeping my makeup secure and doesn't look bad either. According to Superdrug's website, the makeup bag measures around 12.5cm high to 17cm wide. None of mine look this big. Perhaps that's why they use the word approximately on the website when stating the measurements. Obviously though it is not a tiny bag or I would of not picked it up. They all look to be around the same size with no noticeable difference. Each bag holds a decent amount of makeup. Mine are all currently full to the brim. One contains eye makeup, one lip makeup and one contains my small compacts and foundations. The bags are a great way of keeping makeup organised. I've had no issues with this bag, although if you have any eyeliners without lids then i'd keep them seperately as they smudge on the PVC material if your bag is cramped. The bag can be wiped clean easily due to the material, but obviously it is a waste of eyeliner. Overall i'd recomend the bag. It's a good storage bag which can be used for a range of items - it doesn't just have to be makeup.
I have so much make up there are around 8 items I use everyday and 394847 products that I have accumulated over the years that I pick through on nights out or special occasions when I want a particular coloured eye shadow or lipstick etc. Recently after a big clear out I realised I didn't have enough boxes to put my make up into that I didn't use everyday so on a recent shopping trip I popped into my local superdrug to find something to accommodate my ever growing collection. I picked up the first bag I came to which was this simplistic opaque plastic makeup bag. It is quite a big bag which is handy for all of my loose bits of makeup standing at 12.5cm tall and 17cm wide. It is a big box shape with pink piping so as well as being simplistic it is still girly. Being 100% PVC is a big advantage as it means that it can be cleaned so easily with a baby wipe or a sponge and water. It also means that you can see products at the bottom of the make up bag without having to trawl through the whole bag to find the items that I'm looking for! It has 2 pink zips at the front of the bag which makes for easy storage as the zip keeps all of my cosmetics from spilling out. It is very durable as it isn't too thin despite being PVC. This bag can also be used for children's toys such as small plastic characters or small cars so it isn't just for cosmetics and can have dual usage! This bag cost me £3.09 from Superdrug which is a very fair price for a very reasonable product. It is nothing complicated or overly attractive but it does the job very well and was perfect for what I needed.
