A good buy for campers or travellers

I love going on holiday but hate having to sit on a plane for long periods of time. I find the headrests rather uncomfortable and usually end up annoying the person next to me by leaning on their shoulder!

I bought the Trekmates pillow before a long journey overseas and found it extremely comfortable and extremely handy. I used it on the coach, on the plane and even in the hotel to pump up the pathetically thin pillow in the hotel room.
I go camping quite a lot through the year and I have previously owned an inflatable pillow. Unfortunately this suffered a puncture and needed replacing. I thought I'd treat myself to a fleece one this time as they looked a little bit more comfortable and will hopefully last longer.

I find the pillow really soft and comfortable. The fleecy material is much nicer to lay my head on than an inflatable one. The pillow fits perfectly inside my mummy style sleeping bag which is fantastic. The dimensions of the pillow are 40cm x 30cm. Unfortunately the only colour this pillow comes in is black. It would be nice if there were a few other colours to choose from. The pillow has a soft fibre filling which after as few plumps always comes back bouncy and in shape. The outer cover is removable so that you can wash it. After an infortunate incident of spilling a full bottle of beer on the pillow I decided to try wash the whole pillow or risk smelling like an alcoholic! It washed fine and I just hung it on the line to dry! It's not lumpy and still has plenty of bounce.

The stuff sack is waterproof in the respect that it will keep the pillow dry from light rain but nothing heavier than that. It is also fairly small and has been significantly reduced in size from the previous model. Surprisingly the pillow is easy to get back in the bag which is a first!
Overall For a travel pillow I find this option really reliable and good value for money. I paid £4.99 from a camping shop but I have seen it cheaper online so it may be worth shopping about. I'm currently looking out for another for my boyfriend who keeps stealing mine!

        A must for travellers

When on my travels around europe I thought that as I would be staying in hostels buying a travel pillow would be a great investment with the fact I could also use it when traveling around on the trains.

Having looked at this pillow on the internet I decided this would be a suitable pillow for me according to it's product description and its affordable price. This would be a great buy for when space is limited such as fitting it in your backpack. My first use of this product was when I was in a hostel in Amsterdam. Getting it out of my rucksack and out of the small draw-stringed bag that it comes in was easy and hassle free due to the sizing of the packaging being easy to access yet keeps the pillow to a small size.

The pillow itself has a lovely and soft fleece cover and the soft fibre filling gives your head comfortable and reasonable support yet allows it to keep it's shape when used again. Thanks to this cushion I had a wonderful nights sleep, when it was time to pack up the pillow bag in to its draw string bag all you have to simply do is roll it up. I could do this with great ease so i'm sure you could to. It fitted back in to its little bag reasonably well without any trouble and still went back to it's original compact former self.

I also found my self using this when on long haul train rides at night, I felt this made them 12 hour journeys that bit more bearable and a must to add to your list if you are doing long haul traveling due to the comfort it can provide you with. I also used this at a later date camping and found it to still have kept it's great comfort levels and shape when removed from it's bag. It's hard wearing and good for camping especially if you are doing proper camping and trekking where you are only with a backpack.

Overall this travel pillow has many uses due to it's size and comfort it offers you. I'd definitely invest in one when traveling and a tip for when it's not in use is to just leave it in your car so it's there if you're ever in the need for a bit of comfort.

Fleece covered pillow with soft fibre filling. A good size and very comfortable. Rolls into a stuff bag with draw string.
