Advantages: cheaper than the rest

Disadvantages: may get bought by rival

Ive just returned from tenerife and booked this holiday with direct-holidays.They are a direct sell company who cut out the middle man(travel agent). When i decided to book my holiday, the hotel i had chosen happened to be in 7 differant holiday firms brochures.Direct-holidays were £100 per person cheaper than the best of the rest.I was on an airtours flight where in their brochure(airtours) they were charging £49 flight supplement, where as in direct-holiday,s brochure the supplement was -£20,yes minus £20.In resort each hotel has its own direct-holidays tour rep, where as the other big firms reps were covering 2-3 hotels.I have already booked next years holiday with direct and so should you.

Direct Holidays are now part of MyTravel (formerly Airtours Plc) and own Airtours. That's why you were on an Airtours flight (which are now MyTravel Airways). It is there in-house airline too, aswell as Airtours. I am going with Airtours in the summer on a MyTravel flight (there own) and in-fact Direct do them but there was a special offer with Airtours which made us not go with them. I have been with Airtours before and they are good, and Directs service, although different reps, will probably offer a similar good standard service. Without the offer with Airtours we had, Direct are much cheaper like you said! Also if you can't book Direct but want to stay within the same group of MyTravel/Airtours then they also own Aspro. They have different reps but are in the Mytravel group so it should be fine.

Actually... MyTravel now own Airtours and Direct Holidays along with many more including Aspro.... Some of my family went with Direct Holidays in June and didn't really think much of them... also after seeing the ITV programme 'Papckage Holiday 2002' I wouldn't really choose Direct Holidays.... although I wouldn't really go with them unless they had another airline company otherwise than MyTravel UK (ex-AIRTOURS INTERNATIONAL)
Good op anyway :)but I think I'll stick with JMC
