Not My First Choice (First Choice)

Advantages: It was on the highstreet

Disadvantages: Long wait on information, Staff member was abrupt and we were a choir to her

My Partner and I recently decided that we were going to go on holiday together, we had recently sold our flat and free's up some money and agreed we deserved a break. We wanted a last minute deal and to go pretty soon so we went to the local high street which has a First Choice, Thomsons and Thomas Cook.

First Choice was our first choice and we went in to talk to an agent, much to my dissapointment the girl we spoke to was a little distant and abrubt. I like to joke and chat with people, even if I'm in a que because I'm quite a friendly person but she wasn't "up for it" When we sat down, my partner and I were having a playful arguement about where we were looking to go and as I sat I asked if we could have "divorse insurance" and I never got so much as a snigger. To me this was a bad start as I like what the scots call "banter"

We gave her the information, general area, whats importand to us and the dates when we would like to go and she abruptly said "you've left it a bit late havent you" another strike with me! We persisted on though, she couldnt find anything that suited us on one system so she asked if we wanted her to try the other system, we replied that we did and we got a bored sigh as a reply!!

After a few moments searching she found a holiday which seemed ok but was a little over our budget and we wanted to have a look in the other travel agents before making a decition. She then said "I'll book that for you now then" both me and scott were both quite shocked at her bullying we told her we wanted to have a look around and she replied "this wont be here when you come back" Needless to say we didnt go back!

We booked our holiday at a great price with a lovely agent in Thomas Cook and we are away in 17 days
