Advantages: Very Friendly Attentive Professional Fun Staff
Disadvantages: None
I have never had any problems with First Choice and have used them many times before.
Their Website
Their website is a great place to search for possible ideas for your holidays, I found their site was extremely easy to use, with many different areas to describe and promote different types of holiday like budget, families, activities, ski, long haul. Their website was easy to navigate and gave me some fantastic ideas on places to go, their site is very colourful with plenty of good quality photos of their properties and the resorts, plus videos so you can actually see what it's really like which I found brilliant. Searching for your desired holiday is just as easy with a simple to use search engine you can be as specific as you like, it then brings up various options with what is available and as you go through the booking they show you different extra bits (or toppings as First Choice call them) to enchance your holiday like extra space seats on the plane, late checkout rooms, car hire and insurance.
Their Travel Agency
Their agencies are bright and colourful they are easilly spotted from the street with their green logo and the pink starfish, they have cleaned up their window displays too in most outlets now, they have scrapped the old hand written messy signs and replaced them with display boards to display posters with deals and offers, meaning you can actually see into the agency and it gives it a nicer feel. As you go in most of their agencies are bright and open, clean & tidy with plenty of brochures for the different types of holidays you might be intested in including Summer Sun, Families, Winter, Ski, Lakes & Mountains and Lapland. They also have brochures from other companies like Superbreak, Butlins, Inghams, Cosmos and Shearings not just TUI Travel companies like First Choice, Thomson & Crystal so this means you get the very best deal. Their Travel Advisors are very friendly, always greet you with a smile and a friendly face, they are passionate about travel and most have worked abroad or travelled very well so they know a lot about the different destinations you may like to go to. They are always on hand and VERY happy to help you. They can offer suggestions and check many different operators for the different holidays you might require.
Their Airline
First Choice Airways was rebranded from May 1st 2009 to become Thomson Airways, but the First Choice Airways planes were great, ample leg room for average size passengers and extra leg room seats were available very cheaply (they are now even cheaper on the new airline), the cabin crew were friendly and again smiling, on some of the late night flights they might get a bit tired but that's to be expected the hours they work, seats were comfortable and the crew were very attentive.
Their Overseas Reps
The First Choice reps were easilly spotted in their lovely bright pink uniforms, the same worn by their agency staff and cabin crew so you can easilly spot them. The new uniform which is white with the pink starfish sign on are very smart, makes them look very professional yet friendly and approachable. The airport reps are there to help you with any problems and the reps in resort really want you to enjoy your holiday you can ask them anything and they have always tried to help out, very knowledgable too they are deffinately resort experts.
Overall
Overall First Choice are a fantastic company from helping you choose the dream holiday to actually making sure you have the dream holiday and return home to brag about it they deffinately earned their place as the biggest UK tour operator (TUI Travel UK).
