Advantages: should sort everything out for you

Disadvantages: hidden charges

I don't know if anyone else has experienced this problem but if you try to book or even view prices of holidays online, you can't. Many a time i have tried to view prices of holidays whilst online but all you can view is the homepage. it has a little contents page and one of the links even says, holidays, but when you click on this link they say to view brochures or prices in the shop. This really annoys me because why don't they just post some of the prices online like most over travel agent companies.

I also never really find the staff in my local going places very helpful. I was planning a trip to mexico and when i went in I picked up all the relevant brochures which contained holidays to mexico. the man in the shop had a go at me for taking so many brochures, i was furious, is that not wht the brochures are there for, to take them and look through. They weren't even from the same company so obviously each brochure would have different offers in them. He then asked me to put back the ones i think i would not need, i told him straight there that the brochures were free for all customers to take at their leisure and browse through, he then gave in and let me take them. I haven't gone back since.

The year before this i booked a holiday at going places. They told me a price of what the holiday was going to cost, they said it included everything, flights, hotels, car hire, insurence etc. I was very happy with the price so i asked them to book it, when i did this all of a sudden there was an extra £100 per adult to pay due to taxes, i asked them why had they not told me this in the price which they stated contained everything and they said they must of missed it. Anyway I booked it because an extra £100 per adult wasn't really that much when i thought of how cheap the holiday was in the first place. I went out to America and when we got there i went to collect the car, only to find that going places never hired a ca
r for me. I was furious because they told me they had, so i had to spend some of my holiday spending money on the hire of the car. When i got back to england i phoned up the manager of easyjet and he gave me a £300 discount of my next holiday booked through going places as long as i could prove that i had to pay extra for the car rental, so i produced a reciept.

I never used the £300 voucher as the next time i went was to collect the mexico brochures and he was so rude to me that i don't know if i want to go back. But then again that £300 would pay for one person out to Spain or somewhere so i think i will use it, maybe just at a different branch.
