Advantages: Very Helpful and Cheapest Price
Disadvantages: Rubbish Web Site
I have just booked up a summer holiday for 2001, I phoned a few travel agents just to make sure that I got the best price for the holiday that I wanted.
I gave very basic information such as the brochure, hotel, dates number of people etc and asked all the agents to come back with a price. I have to admit I was not expecting much of going places, when I phoned they seemed to be very busy and said it may be a while but someone would get back to me.
I was very surprised when they were the first people to get back to me and it turned out that they were by far the cheapest quote as well. So I decided to book the holiday with them, I made some changes to the details such as upgraded flights and extra bits and pieces and expected to get stitched up, but you could have knocked me down with a feather when they called back to confirm and the price was even cheaper than before. They had done some negotiating and managed to get us 2 free child’s places and a large discount for booking early.
The other advantage of booking through Going Places is you get Tesco Clubcard Points on your purchase. We are great collectors of tesco points so that also helps.
I have to agree with previous opinions though, there web presence is not existent, most travel agents now have a decent website and they need to work on this.
I would strongly recommend getting a quote from Going Places if you are booking up a holiday, they certainly came through for us.
