Advantages: Location

Disadvantages: The list is endless

Check in was in the main (in fact, only, for five nights of the week) place with evening entertainment Falcon show bar that has stained carpet that your feet stick to and smells of stale beer. On arrival you are handed a card with a character on it and when they shout out the name of your character thats when you can queue up to check in. Our card was called greedy - yes, that's right - greedy. Unfortunaetly, they didn't turn the music down when they shouted the names out so we just had to guess. On check in we were given a poorly copied map of the site which was difficult to read as blurry.

On arrival to our caravan we found...
1 Blue sandcastle shaped bucket
3 hair grips
1 Blood (yes, blood) stained freezer cabinet
1 disposable razor - used
1 baby wipe (used)
Half a tomato in the sink
3 single black socks (to be fair these were under the steps into the caravan rather than in the van itself)
1 cigarette packet (empty)
More dust than I have ever seen in my life in such a small space - if you have a break planned there check the top of the wardrobe in the double bedroom- if 'Clean me' is written in the dust, you have our caravan.

Both the toilet and my son's bedroom doors could not be opened from the inside - manged to grab a passing maintenance man the day after arrival who fixed the toilet door by yanking out the metal plate the lock went into. Said needed parts to fix son's door and would come back in a day or so - did not return.

Minus points - Dirty caravan, elusive staff, facilities far too small for the size of the park, disapointing swimming pool, the club for teenagers is only on for two hours per week. Limited information on check in - if you go Monday - Monday you need to change your pass that allows you into the facilities on a Friday - but they don't tell you this on check in or where you hand your keys into. None existent security - literally anyone can drive into where the caravans are, poor value from on site shops / eating places, need to clean their pipes more for draught beer. Most activites are not included in the price.

Good points - close to the gorgeous beach, seal sanctuary and Ferryboat Inn for reasonably priced meals.

I would visit the area again but would never stay in a Haven park again.

Summary: Nice location, shame about the park
