Golden Sands Holiday Park
When I learnt we couldnt check into our caravan till 16.00pm I was slightly disapointed as I saw this as a waste of a day.
Luckily when queing to check in there was plenty of staff on so the ques went down very quickly and we had our keys and information in no time.
We were lucky aas we got a caravan very near to the entertainment area and pool some of the carvans must be a 20 minute walk away it was that big.
Walking into our caravan it was a little basic with the cooker not wrking properly so was slighly disapointed. We didnt add bed linen on to our order but got it anyway which was a added bonus.
It was cold when we went so the caravans on a night was freezing hardly sleeping due to lack of warmth and that was with a halogen heater on too.
The daytime entertainment on the complex were good for all they have the bumper cars there and a race track with go karts for the older children although quite expensive at £6.00 for 5 mins. There is a climbing wall and a small park. Also a outdoor pool but only open from May a indoor pool. There is arcades and a small bowling alley and snooker.
The evening entertainment is mainly based round the smaller children nothing really for the older kids to do. The drinks are fairly priced if buying from the pumps but stay clear of the bottles as really expensive a bottle of Newcastle brown coming in at £4.60.
Overall the complex is nice but basic it needs a big upgrade as some of the caravans are very old. I would go again but I think I would ask for a upgraded caravan.
The park is situated right on the beach and when the weather nice it would be a lovely beach.
Golden sands is situated in Mablethorpe. The park is run by Haven but they do have some privately owned caravans on there and also a big sales pitch ohhh with some lovely carvans to buy.
Summary: ok for a cheap hol I wouldnt spend a fortune
