We recently spent a week at the Haven Golden Sands site at Mablethorpe. We usually spend our holiday at Mablethorpe but have never stayed on the site before. This year we were booking late and all the sites we usually use were sold out. My Husband didn't want to go to Haven but I eventually persuaded him that our three children all under six ...  Read the complete review

Check in was in the main (in fact, only, for five nights of the week) place with evening entertainment Falcon show bar that has stained carpet that your feet stick to and smells of stale beer. On arrival you are handed a card with a character on it and when they shout out the name of your character thats when you can queue up to check in. Our card ...  Read the complete review

Express Review on Golden Sands Holiday Park

I have just arrived home from a long weekend at Golden Sands, Mablethorpe. After reading the reviews I was anxious to say the least about going to this park, however I telephoned in advance and explained my concerns, I paid extra for an upgrade to a prestige model caravan. When I arrived at the site I looked at the very old slide which can be seen from the road and thought "oh no". Was allocated my caravan which wasn't up to my standards, however was reallocated into a new caravan which was lovely. the site was clean, didn't use the facilities but they looked ok, shop well stocked but pricey. Location Fab, the Beck pub serves good food beach clean and nice. Overall great weekend!!!

On arrival we were given a warm welcome and our passes until we could check in at 4. We were allowed to check in at 3.10 and given all the information we needed and headed off to our caravan. I thought we had walked into a 5* hotel as it was so clean and fresh it looked so nice well impressed our beds were all made up for us and we had heating ...  Read the complete review

Golden Sands Holiday Park: stay in the garden and throw money in the bin (256 words)

i give it 1 star on the basis that the caravan was lovely and i can't put 0. Unfortunately that's the only good thing i can say. Navigating rows and rows of caravans = pain. To get in the "entertainment bit" you must have passes, i saw security turn away 2 children aged about 8 and 10 for not having a pass, with no other way in and no ...  Read the complete review

Have just returned from a weekend at Golden Sands in Mablethorpe - very glad to be home. I booked a prestige caravan for £332 (including £5 to hire a 'cot side' and £10 deposit for this service). Immediately on arrival, everything seemed OK. A security guard meets your car as you turn into the site and directs you to a temporary car park where ...  Read the complete review

Just got home from Golden Sands caravan site in mablethorpe. We hired a private caravan which was very nice. The site was not upto much really. The shop was reasonable, the arcades could have been better and the club we found awful. The entertainment at night was poor, they were forever trying to sell things like walking round with glow ...  Read the complete review

overall the park was very good but quite expensive. i visited in easter and alot of things were shut which was abit dissopointing, and for me and my freinds that are 17 there was not much for us to do, for younger kids it would be ideal, the pool was not very good as it is quite small and not alot to do. the entertainment was a laugh but again not ...  Read the complete review

We booked a last minute holiday here and because I have a Chihuahua the highest standard accommodation I could book was bronze, I was under the impression that this was what I had booked until I got the confirmation the morning before we travelled and the caravan we got given was designated a 3 star, but looked more like 2 star at best. We travelled down from Ayrshire in Scotland to Golden Sands holiday park. The holiday was booked on the Internet and cost £234.00 for one week in a 3- star six-berth caravan, including entertainment passes. A 2pm check in is possible for holidaymakers who have booked higher spec accommodation. our check in time was 4pm. Therefore, when ...  Read the complete review

This time last year, my hubby, my daughter Sophie ( aged 6 ) and I were here on holiday. We had a 5 berth Bronze caravan for 7 nights and the price was reasonable...£327, as we had an early booking bonus. We were very happy with our caravan. Although it was an older model, it was very very clean, and the bedrooms, while small, were ...  Read the complete review

Located along a lonely stretch of coastal road, Golden Sands dominates the landscape with its endless rows of near identical caravans, all situated with almost scientific precision, almost like a council estate on wheels. Not an inch of space is wasted here, and as you watch the holidaymakers arrive through the main gates on a Saturday, you start ...  Read the complete review
