My 13 year old daughter went with a friend and her parents to end up being a victim of crime! An adult male put his hand in her bag and stole her brand new ipod which she had got for her birthday 4 days before. The 'customer care manager' Amanda was rubbish. The family she went with had their car reversed into causing significent damage with no details left. I think maybe Haven should invest in CCTV! 5 days there and a victim of crime twice! Stay away from this place.

We recently stayed at Golden Sands Mablethorpe for October half term, upon arrival checkin was fast and efficient, we went to our caravan and it smelled musty, so off we trotted to the supermarket to get airfresheners etc. We got back quite late and it was cold, we only had a gas fire to keep us warm which barely heated the ...  Read the complete review

Just arrived back from a week's holiday in Haven Mablethorpe and it was fab! Check in was quick with plenty of information, caravan was clean - so much so that my son asked me if I was sure that it had been used before! Plenty for kids to do - entertainment was great and catered for all ages. Food on site good value. Site in general was very clean, staff were always picking up litter (not that there was a lot!). Close proximity to the beach and town centre although there is no need to leave Haven - it has everything. Our kids want to go back again next year!

Check in was in the main (in fact, only, for five nights of the week) place with evening entertainment Falcon show bar that has stained carpet that your feet stick to and smells of stale beer. I have just arrived home from a long weekend at Golden Sands, Mablethorpe. After reading the reviews I was anxious to say the least about going to this park, however I telephoned in advance and explained my concerns, I paid extra for an upgrade to a prestige model caravan. When I arrived at the site I looked at the very old slide which can be seen from the road and thought "oh no". Was allocated my caravan which wasn't up to my standards, however was reallocated into a new caravan which was lovely. the site was clean, didn't use the facilities but they looked ok, shop well stocked but pricey. Location Fab, the Beck pub serves good food beach clean and nice. Overall great weekend!!!

i give it 1 star on the basis that the caravan was lovely and i can't put 0. Unfortunately that's the only good thing i can say. Navigating rows and rows of caravans = pain. To get in the "entertainment bit" you must have passes, i saw security turn away 2 children aged about 8 and 10 for not having a pass, with no other way in ...  Read the complete review

Have just returned from a weekend at Golden Sands in Mablethorpe - very glad to be home. I booked a prestige caravan for £332 (including £5 to hire a 'cot side' and £10 deposit for this service).
