Do NOT waste your money, if your young forget it! We went as 2 couples with children looking for a break and somewhere to relax not too much to ask for right? WRONG! Can I stress we had 2 young children 1 6 month & the other 12 month. The 1st night was fine, second night we ended up having to phone through to security as there were some maniacs in the caravan opposite us. Jumping up & down, screaming, shouting, smashing things and this was about 4 in the morning so yes, we all got woken up! Including children. As I said previously we are young couples age range 19-22 so we did get the odd funny look because of how we look, ie. The lads wear trakkies, trainer etc, which may I add don't come cheap! Rather pathetic. Would'nt mine we paid full whack for a Prestige caravan when most of the others proberbly got a 50p holiday from The Sun! ... Thats besides the point though. Back on track, The caravan: Clean, basic. Not perfect but ok. Beds a little uncomfy and utensils dirty on arrival, also the curtain pole in the living room was loose and fell off numerous times, no heater in 1 of bedrooms, no high chair which we paid extra for, No Electric on arrival! The list goes on believe it or not. They really did see us coming! We went on a Friday to Friday stay and as you might realise its Thursday and we're already back. Thats the next problem we had. We were targeted by an old woman when we were clearly in a family bar as there were many familys around. She stormed over out of the blue as we were dancing with the children and said these effin kids should be in bed and ran off. So I went over and politley asked her what was her problem, wish I had'nt now as we were faced by 3 tables full of people all ages hurling abuse this is where my partner got attacked, his cousin got his phone pinched and bruises and scratches to his ribs. This place is rough. We ended up getting thrown out of the emergancy exit doors while the others got to stay in.. NOT forgetting we have 2 children which at this time were left in the club ALONE because the staff obviously did'nt care we told them enough times we could'nt leave because of the kids and yet they still dragged us out! Its so annoying as we did nothing at al wrong. Even some old ish guy came over afterwards from out of the blue asking us how we were and saying they'd been looking for trouble all night! I am discusted how we were treated! & especially discusted in Haven its self. Its nothing like it used to be its all money,money, money with them now days! I've been put off caravans for life, Thanks Marton Mere. This morning we decided to visit the Reception and to hand in our keys, we got there and a very polite, understanding woman dealt with us at first then went onto get her Manager, the worst staff member yet, she was, rude, arrogant, cocky the lot. We ended up walking out as we did'nt go to be abused but to stress the fact we had 2 kids and did'nt feel safe on their site, she did'nt flinch an eye lid at that fact she clearly did'nt care and the blame was on us. I am so annoyed right now as a brilliant holidau full of sun has been ruined by a gang of thugs obviously out looking for trouble and unfortunatley ended up on the firing line. The Manager should of checked the CCTV & done some reasearch before pointing the finger!
