Advantages: Nice holiday for familes

Disadvantages: Dirty caravans, noise

Over the last three years, my family and I have visited three Haven Holiday parks (Riviere Sands, Hafan y Mor and Blue Dolphin). We have had generally good holidays, although there were some things we were unhappy with at all the parks we had visited:

- Cleaness of the caravans. Every holiday I felt the need to request that the cleaner visits our caravan again. There were stains on the sofas, counters, carpets, beds, carpets hadn't been vacuumed properly, kitchen and bathroom weren't clean, ect... May sound like I'm being picky, but we have paid for the best caravan, I think it being clean is a basic requirement.
- Location of caravans. A couple of times we have been placed very near the centre of camp, next all the entertainments. This results in us having trouble to get to sleep every night, due to loud music and people walking back to the caravans drunk at 1-2am. You can choose the location of your caravan though (I think for an extra charge).
- I think that quite a bit of the cost of the holiday is for the on-park entertainment, we is annoying if you don't use it. While the swimming pools look good, the have always been absolutley packed every time we looked in. My kids are quite shy, so weren't interested in the kids clubs or evening shows, ect.

However, as a family holiday, I would overall recommend them. Many of the parks have direct beach access (or so they claim - at Hafan y Mor the only 'direct beach access' we could find was a steep cliff drop. We couldn't find any safe way to the beach from the park), which is nice. Although we never used them, there are lots of sports activities to try, such as archery, abseiling, watersports in the pool, ect. The holidays are suitable for children of all ages, and are nearby to local attractions.

Summary: Not brilliant, but a good holiday
