Advantages: Friendly Staff, Wonderful Location, Oh that wonderful beach!
Disadvantages: A week isn't long enough
Travelled with JMC October 2002 from Manchester to Palma de Mallorca. It was our first flight with JMC and whilst the meal, a hot breakfast with tea coffee or sqaush for the little ones was nice, the request for £6 for a pair of headphones was a bit of a shock.
We landed 30 mins early due to wind direction and when we had regained our cases , husband, myself and our four daughters aged 5-10, we struggled to find our coach to Magaluf, 30 minutes away.
The reason we struggled is because it wan't there! Even the rep in the airport was mistified but eventually after 20 mins in the sunshine, all wearning our 'English Clothes' it arrived.
Having booked with JMC at the Iberostar Magaluf Beach (now rebranded Majorca Beach for this season) we expected as promised to be the first drop of in resort and so as the 3rd Drop Off point, we were at the hotel in less than 30 mins.
The property is as it nam suggests on the beach, with its own area of free sunloungers.
Magaluf if you haven't been has in the past been discribed as Blackpool in the Sun, but is what you make of it. The beach slopes gently into the sea and is safer than many other resorts for young children, this coupled with the wide selection of activities, restaurants and cheap public transport make the resort perfect for families.
Yes, Magaluf does attract more than its share of teenage drinkers, but they tend to congregate on the bars up the hill towards Palma Nova, leaving the wide range of family bars safe for us oldies! with kids.
The hotel itself, complete with air conditioning and brilliant sea views was an absolute dream. Coffee round the pool whilst the children were safely out of our hands ! Quality time for me and my husband!
In house entertainment from a team of JMC employees, childrens clubs for all our kids and a wide range of choice in the self service restaurant made it our best holiday ever.

e already ! Beacause I'd already booked our two weeks in Magaluf at another hotel - but thats another story!
