I've been on quite a few package holidays and I know basically what to expect. Sometimes things do not go as planned, and that's okay. But my recent trip to Portugal with JMC was truly hideous. They pack you in like cattle, unload you quickly to brainless and useless holiday reps, and then disappear. At the hotel we stayed at the closest rep was a hour away if you could even reach her and there was no one on duty at the hotel at all for 14 hours each day. If you needed anything or if there was an emergency you were in a lot of trouble, especially if you didn't speak Portuguese. When the reps were around, they were pretty much only good for booking you on crap activities for way too much money. They badmouthed any activity they did not get a cut from, and when my wife and I tried out some of these "poorly run, unsafe" trips we found them to be far superior to the JMC-pushed ones. Horrible company. It's no wonder they've changed their name at least once.
