Leger HolidaysNewest Review: ... coach lost us many hours travelling. Coach staff were pleasant but did not work for leger and blamed them for the complete lack of information we recieved. Missed out on Cash & Carry and evening meals due to late arrival times due to "driver hours". When we finally did meet Leger staff, they would have put us on the wrong coach at Dover if we hadn't challenged them. They only get a star because we enjoyed the track days at the Grand Prix we went to see - but we would have enjoyed those just as much if we had driven there ourselves - which I think we wil do in future. Incidentally if it had't been for another firm's coach... more |

Can't recommend Leger I'm afraid. Chaotic and exhausting coach journeys with long delays no refreshments nor working toilets on the coach - then it broke down and waiting for a replacement coach lost us many hours travelling. We did the Italy Tour and it was a awfull hotels were dirty and food was awful
on our return we complained but they did not wat to know
thats no way to treat good customers

Our pilgrimage......."All Quiet on the Western Front" with Leger Holidays. It had long been a quest of ours to visit the Battlefields of World War 1. my partners Grandfather had been killed on the first day of the Somme, July 1st 1916, there was no grave, literally thousands died on this fateful day and due to heavy gunfire, bodies could not be retrieved. It was to be several months later, when conditons improved the clearing units were able to go in to collect what was left of these poor wretched men, badly decomposed bodies, covered in flies, making a meal for the fattest rats on the Somme. As identification was nigh on ... Read the complete review

I have taken 7 trips with Leger. As in life, some have been much, much better than others. The trip to the Somme was unforgettable and extremely professional. However my recent trip to Christmas markets was disappointing in that the coach crews were extremely unhelpful about a really bad optional excursion which cost us quite a bit of money. It was a total fiasco and they admitted to us it was "terrible" but because the crews do not in fact work for Leger they could offer us no solution. It seems to me that Leger could do better in offering coach crews an official statement when things go wrong instead of the customers having to endure an uncomfortable "wall of silence".

In October 2007 my father and I went on Leger's 'All Quiet on the Western Front' 4 day WW1 Battlefields tour. We were picked up locally in a luxury coach, before being transfered to our tour coach at Dover, all of which went smoothly. The staff of both coaches were friendly and helpful. Once in Belgium we picked up our tour guide who had just finished another tour. From the start he was friendly and very helpful, answering everyones questions and pointing out interesting things along the way. Instructions were given out for each day and recommendations on food/drink and outings. The tour guide was very knowledgable and included the history of the ... Read the complete review
