Well What More Can I Say???
I used this little known tour operator Llama Travel when I recently went to the Galapagos Islands and Ecuador. This tour operator specialise only in Peru, Galapagos and Ecuador holidays. The reason I am writing a review on this tour operator is because they gave such fantastic service from the first initial contact till the end of our holiday in South America.

Brief History Of Llama Travel.
After living in Peru for several years and enjoying the wonderful wildlife, amazing scenery along with the culture and adventure Luca Newbold felt that everybody should have the chance to visit this country. When he returned to the UK he found that holidays to South America were far too expensive for the average person to holiday to. Along with a former director of Thompson Holidays Llama Travel was set up with the aim of making holidays to South America more affordable to all.

Llama Travel began by offering holidays to Peru and then later on Ecuador and The Galapagos Islands. They now offer a first class service to all their customers whilst still providing value for money.

Point Of Contact.
From the first time I contacted Llama Travel I found them very helpful. They could answer most of my queries straight away and if they needed to find out about a particular request they got back to me promptly. They were excellent at answering my Emails as I continued to ask them further questions as I thought of them even though we had already booked. They always ended their conversations whether by phone or Email with “Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions.” Trust me I did this to the full.

Brochure Accuracy.
Llama Travel’s brochure for Galapagos and Ecuador is very easy to read giving good details of their various trips. There are many coloured photographs of the sights, and good detail of the yachts used. The pricing is clear and you can tailor make your trip by adding other excursions to the various itineraries already on offer for an extra cost which is just what we did. On return looking at the brochure again the photographs were exactly what we saw out in Ecuador.

Website
The website is equally as good if not better than the brochure. It is easy to navigate and is very informative. There are also customer comments on previous holidays.

If you are just interested in learning about South America then have a look.

On Location In South America.
Everything was very well organised. We were met when we were supposed to .They were represented by Andean Trails in Ecuador. These people were on time, friendly and polite. They couldn’t do enough for you. The local transport arranged to take us to the various places was clean and safe with excellent drivers. All guides were very knowledgeable throughout. Prebooked excursions were very good and I have to admit I am not fond of doing pre arranged excursions as when I have done these with other companies they are always arranged for the convenience of the tour operator. I usually suss places out whilst on the holiday. I thought they were good value for money. All the things I had made known to them in the UK e.g. being vegetarian and having a seafood allergy was noted.

I also like the fact that Llama Travel use local people as guides and care that they are treated well and are paid fairly. This in turn works to better the lives of people living in the local communities. They also encourage to visitors to support the local economy by buying locally made goods and using local services.

What’s Next.
I enjoyed the trip so much I am looking into doing their trip to Peru and the jungle next year with them. I know I can rely on being giving honest answers to any questions I have rather then them saying anything just to sell a holiday. As you may well have guessed

I thoroughly recommend them.

I have just done Galapagos and Ecuador too. My husband wants to go to Peru next year or the year after so I will bear them in mind. Are they bonded with ABTA?
