Advantages: Staff and sporting equipment excellent

Disadvantages: Food appalling, hotel grotty

Just got back from a week there. The food was not up to motorway cafe standards. The highlight was the 'prize the meringue from the plate' competition. It had us laughing for ages. Portion control gone mad on the a-la-carte (too small). Also, descriptions on the menu were vastly over stated. I still call instant mashed potato with chicken and gravy exactly that. The buffet was not exactly inspiring either. you could eat adequately if you chose carefully - but only just. Even the pizza was plain tomato / cheese ('Kids wont eat anything else' I was told)
But - if you want to dump the kids for a week, the staff are excellent - not sure it was worth the thousands I paid for the week though.

Summary: nice staff, shame about the food
