Newmarket Holidays Coach Tours

Newmarket holiday, Moinet's Gardens.
This is only the second coach holiday I have ever had and both were with Newmarket and both were bad. This was to be a ruby wedding present to my wife.
The coach was two hours late. No explanation or apology given. The coach was filthy and the air conditioning was not working in August. The tour manager was rude and bullying. He used the f word and threatened me when I dared to complain. He shouted at my wife to shut up and threw us off the tour leaving us stranded at Poissey. We had to find our own way home. Newmarket said "good riddance". My wife is disabled with Rhuematoid Arthritis and Parkinsons disease. I can never forgive Newmarket for this. The tour manager, Phil, was self employed and Newmarket have refused to do anything.

Six of us went with Newmarket Holidays to Cergy Pontoise outside Paris on a five day break in July. We all had a fantastic time. It is a long coach journey but we had a fantastic driver and a superb knowledgeable guide called Paul. He was full of information and very helpful. One of our fellow passengers had a heart attack whilst in Paris and he could not have had better care or consideration. The Novotel that we stayed at in Cergy Pontoise was absolutely great. The staff were beyond compare. They let us have cheese and wine in their foyer and even opened bottles and provided glasses. We didn't go on the guided tours as we wanted to do it our way. Went to Lake Garda with Newmarket Found the rep absolutly useless totally disorgainised he changed dates and times He cancelled a trip tp the Dolomite Mountains even though anothertour was taking place He said that the weather conditions were bad However another day could have been chosen We missed the coach which left the hotel earlier He did not do a name call or check the passengers as they boarded We were told that we could meet the party at Riva by taking a taxi which would be paid for by the Guide As we were about to board the coach we were asked to pay forty nine euros the taxi fare We refused as we were told catogorically that the company would pay We could have taken a buswhich would have been more reasonable I would never travel with this company again

We went with Newmarket Holidays on their Pompeii, Sorrento and Heart of Italy tour in October 2009. It was awful. We stayed at the Hotel Terminus in Fuiggi. Fuiggi itself is very quiet, there is literally nothing to do apart from walking up one side of the street and down the other side. The actual holiday is very mis-leading. What they don't tell you is that you are literally miles away from anywhere. The trips to Pompeii and Sorrento literally took 3 hours + each way on the bus. We went with Newmarket travel to Fuiggi on 6th may 2009. There were excursions to Rome which we went on,but we were unable to go on the trip to Capri and Naples because there were insufficient numbers who wanted to go on this trip. I want to warn everyone that if you are going and want to go on a certain trip,you will be unable to go with NEWMARKET HOLIDAYS as they demand a certain number of people to go on it. We were grossly disappointed after going all that way, and if there had not been sufficient people, we woud have been unable to go to Rome also.
