I decided to treat my Mum to a weekend away up North and we chose a Newmarket York St Nicholas Fayre weekend and what a treat we had in store. On day one we greeted by a fantastic driver who made everyone feel very welcome even at 7am! We drove up to Leeds were we spent a fantastic afternoon shopping. I hardly ever put my purse back in my bag. We then left for the hotel which was the Holiday inn in Brighouse. On the way to the hotel the accompanying tour manager asked us if we would like to pre book an evening meal at the hotel which he then booked for each of us. The hotel was beyond our expectations and the rooms were lovely and we even had a gym and swimming pool!! The food was great and a good nights sleep was had by all.
The next day were went in to York which i have to say is one of the most beautiful cities in the UK. The market stalls were fantastic and the whole atmosphere was really Christmassy.
Overall the weekend was fantastic value for money, in fact I dont think I could have done it cheaper driving there myself. The staff I booked with at Newmarket in their call centre were knowledgeable and helpful and the driver and tour manager didn't disappoint either. I am already looking at where we can go again with Newmarket. A very satisfied customer!!!
