Disadvantages: The reps, location, hotel, long hour on bus, early starts etc etc

We went with Newmarket Holidays on their Pompeii, Sorrento and Heart of Italy tour in October 2009. It was awful. We stayed at the Hotel Terminus in Fuiggi. Fuiggi itself is very quiet, there is literally nothing to do apart from walking up one side of the street and down the other side. The actual holiday is very mis-leading. What they don't tell you is that you are literally miles away from anywhere. The trips to Pompeii and Sorrento literally took 3 hours + each way on the bus. You have to get up at 5 in the morning and the two tour guides treated us like a group of school children - handing out playing cards so that they knew if we were all back on the bus, surely there has to be a more intelligent way of doing this. The hotel was very basic. Breakfast very poor, evening meals adequate - though by the time you get back from the excursions you are literally so knackered that you would eat anything. Declined to go on the tour to Rome - could not take anymore of the reps, so decided to make our own way there on public transport. Overall would not recommend this tour to anyone. You might be in the heart of Italy, however the 'resort' of Fuiggi certainly needs resusitation, and you are a 6 hour round trip from Pompeii and Sorrento.
