Advantages: make loads of friends, see cool things
Disadvantages: costs a lot but worth it
I have just finished my week at ozintro and have had an amazing time!
Ozintro sort out all your paperwork that you need for moving to australia for a year. They sort your taxfile number, bank account, medicare and sim card. They pick you up from the airport and take you on trips everyday, and go out most nights.
I got picked up at the airport, and went jet boating and saw sydney harbour that day. Pretty good for a first day!
During the week we visited the Blue Mountains, Bondi Beach, sydney harbour, darling harbour, the aquarium, surfing lesson.
At night we went on party boats, pub crawls, and when we werent on an organised night out, my room mates and I (all 12 of them) went out locally to the coogee bay hotel.
The staff at ozintro are so welcoming and never make you feel like your questions are silly. They treat everyone the same and are up for a good laugh. I loved going in the mini bus with my group (17 of us) to places with the ipod on the stereo singing along.
Its a great way to start your trip in australia as it introduces you to a large group of people. You also get accomodation included as well as the transport and activities. The only thing not included is some meals and drinks.
You can use the internet for free for life in their office, and you can also get advice, book trips with them and have free printing and cv advice. The team are just wicked there, they know everything and if they dont they will find it out for you.
For one week it cost me 379 but if you want them to sort out your visa it costs 449.
Summary: never a dull moment

- 30/10/09 Sounds like a good organisation and at least it gives you a bit of an introduction to other people and the area. |
