Newest Review: ... La Siesta, in the pretty resort of Calella de Palafrugell. The facilities here are superb - two swimming pools, two tennis courts, a bakery (fresh bread daily!), a supermarket and a gift shop, as well as a buffet restuarant and a take away. Calella de Palafrugell is a lovely resort, with seafront restaurants, beach walks leading to great beaches, and not a high-rise block in site. You can easily get out and about, we walked to some of the neighbouring resorts, and the local buses are cheap. All in all, a fabulous spot! THE BAD The coach journey was great as I mentioned, apart from one or two things, which were due to the reps on board. ... more

In September this year, I travelled with Redcrest Holidays to Calella de Palafrugell. THE GOOD I was actually dreading the coach journey - 30 hours from Scotland? Was I mad??? Well, I needn't have worried, I had asked for extra-legroom seats which I think cost about £10 per person, and they were well worth it. With plenty of refreshment stops, videos the journey was great.
