"Don't ever expect me to go on a SAGA holiday", I said to my husband a few years ago. This was after watching lots of older ladies being herded around at the airport, although the Saga rep managed to get them all to the front of the queue! We glanced at the magazines which dropped through the door occasionally, but never considered going on a SAGA holiday, until we were looking for a cruise last year, as I was unable to walk far and decided this would solve the problem, I would be able to arrive at different ports and get a change of scenery without much effort on my part. One of these days, if you are very lucky, you will wake up and discover that you have reached the heady height of 50 years of age. What is special about this particular birthday, apart from more candles than you can manage? About the only thing that really affects you, is that you now can join the hallowed ranks of SAGA. Contrary to popular belief, SAGA does not stand for “send all grannies away” nor does it stand for either “Sex at Grannies age” or any of the other suggestions that I am sure will be in my comments box very shortly. It stands for “Social Activities in the Golden Age.” The web site for SAGA is at ... Read the complete review

Have just been on a Saga, all inclusive, Holiday to Malta. Wanted to make sure that we were looked after at whatever cost for one week whilst we sampled somewhere new, (We usually go to Spain or Italy). We found that the brochure is totally informative and everything is explained in great detail, almost got fed up with their office keep sending updates, months before we were about to go. Were able to select exactly the hotel and other refinements we wanted and found, when we got to Maltal that all was exactly as explained leaving us to enjoy the holiday at our own leisure. The Hotel had a buffet service for all meals as well as another restaurant where you ... Read the complete review
