Hot on the heels of Ceefax came ITV's version which they imaginatively named Teletext. Now where Ceefax was the same on both of BBC's channels (although BBC2 did have some things not available on BBC1) the three ITV channels each had their own version of Teletext. That is to say that the content was different on each.

ITV's version too has its letters pages on 485 for sport and 327 for other stuff with 328 and 329 containing some interesting snippets of information. It has regional news and national news just like BBC but once you've read one lot of news you've read them all so ITV doesn't get a look in with me.

Channel 4 Teletext used to have pages 490/1/2/3 for all things internet but lately they've been missing. The internet is still here so those pages should also be there.

Chan 5 has it's own letters page on 114 but it only ever sports 3 or 4 letters so to get your letter broadcast on there could be quite an achievement.

Overall Teletext is a bonus where you can pick up the latest news, albeit in brief, the latest football or cricket score or any sports score for that matter and even your horoscope.
