Advantages: Helpful and co-operative staff. Cheap prices

Disadvantages: May be engaged and then put on hold for quite a long time

Having visited all Travel Agents in our area for quotes on flights to Australia, we have always come up with the same answer-Much too expensive (upto £1200) or no chance of getting there for the christmas period.

We have been told time and again that to go christmas time we really should book at least 10 months before.

Then a couple of weeks ago Teletext came up with some really good seat sales, but trying to get through was a nightmare eventually when we did get through all seats were fully booked.

One week later came more seat sales so we decided to start ringing just before the opening time and by 9.10am everything was booked. The staff were extremely helpful, put the tickets on hold for us while we rang through to Australia to check the dates were o.k and happily answered all of our queries.

We decided to take their insurance, although they didn't push it, and they are also arranging our visas.Insurance was £58.00 for one adult and one teenager. Visas were £10 each.

The cofirmation papers with all details of flight times and connecting flights came through 3 days later.

Over all we were very happy with the service.

Sorry nearly forgot the most important thing--Price £539.00 per person including airport tax. Flying with Singapore Airlines.

**UPDATE**
Since writing this opinion I have now received the tickets, Visa and insurance papers. The full price which is printed on the tickets would have been £1368.00, a saving of over £800!!

WoW! what a saving. Hope you had a good time. Do you have relatives there?

You got a good price there. I booked a Eurostar holiday to EuroDisney with satisfactory results too. My flights to Australia, however, were bought through Flightbookers (online/offline travel agent).

We travel a lot & have booked most of our hols through teletext. At some point I am going to write an op on this subject myself. Very useful op & what a brilliant saving.
