Advantages: The Sunterra Management get rich

Disadvantages: Nothing you want is available

I bought a GVC Timeshare week at Garden Lago for £9500 some 9 years ago. I was talked into changing it for the points system for another £3000 5 years ago.
Since being in the points system my experience has been one of non availability. There is never anything available when I want it. This year I ended up saving the points for next year and paid for a villa in Florida instead. I was suprised to find it cheaper than Sunterras annual fees. I now find there is nothing I want available next year with Sunterra. In order to get away from Sunterra I am required to convert the points into a timeshare again prior to selling the week.

What is that old saying you can conn all of the people some of the time etc. Enough is enough it has been an expensive lesson but Sunterra can have their worthless points back. According to the power of the internet there are various court cases pending hopefully justice will be done to these conn artists.

Summary: Club Sunterra - Save your money

Try to read this review as if you know nothing of the product you are discussing - which is the position that most of your readers are in. It is a bit confusing, because you plunge straight into the problems of the "points system" without actually telling us what it is in the first place. A bit of introdcution (before telling us your experiences) would be a great help.

Timeshare, Holiday clubs ? it seems whatever they call themselves, they are all a con. You know what they say ' you never get something for nothing '
