Advantages: Absolultly NONE.

Disadvantages: They take your money and once you sign up there is NO WAY OUT!!!

All I can say is BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! We paid $11,000.00 for 3,500 points. Well, 3,500 points is barely enough to get a 2-bedroom resort. The one we did get to stay at was all worn down and dirty. Other times when we wanted to plan a vacation, there was no availability. There are sooooooooo many rules - the one I particularly like is the one where if you don't roll over your points in time, YOU LOSE THEM! We got so sick of the bull crap that we sold our points for a mear $950.00. The sales people are very high pressure and basically won't let you out of the room until you buy - and they fill you with champagne after you agree so when you go to sign all the financial paperwork, you're pretty buzzed! Stay away from Sunterra...we have another timeshare and have never had a problem with them. Sunterra lies and makes promises. They just take your money and then don't even know your name afterwards. STAY AWAY FROM SUNTERRA IN THE USA!!!

Summary: Sunterra/Diamond Resorts is the worst timeshare company we have ever come in contact with!
