The Sun Holiday Vouchers are back!!
Grab yourself a holiday bargain and get yourself a Sun Newspaper.
I have recently came back from a four night self catering holiday at Golden Sands, Linconshire that we booked through collecting Vouchers with the Sun. There was me, my partner and our 6 month old child. Our holiday was £15 per person as it was for the summer however this newest voucher is for the autumn and is only £9.50 each!!! ...As far as I am aware you have topay for a minimum of 4 people, however this is still really cheap, Our caravan slept 6 people and only cost us £60 for monday - friday.
The Sun have lined up over half a million breaks for autumn 2008 and you can even go abroad to places like Ireland, France, Spain, Italy and Belguim!! Obviously with the way things are with money at the moment and the whole credit crunch, hoidays abroad can seem quite daunting and expensive. Grab your vouchers from the sun and you will be in your element. Some holiday parks offer Half Board, free entertainment wristbands,
All you have to do is collect seven tokens from the ones which are being printed until 19th july 2008!! once you have done this compelte your booking form which is in the Sun today!!..if you dont get this you can print one off the internet. Attach your tokens alongside your cheque and your choices of places to visit and you could soon me off...
My review of our holiday was as follows:
A great place to take the kids and have a family holiday. The entertainment is excellent for children, it has a large aracade and a large indoor and outdoor swimming pool. There is also bike hire, go karts, bouncy castles and mini golf on site.
The caravans themselves are very spacious and clean. The kitchen also contains all the untensils you need. The overall holiday was good. Prices in the club house are average at 2.60 a pint or £10.80 a pitcher (4 pint) for larger. The caravan was clean and was a nice place to stay. We were around 5 mins walk from the main attractions. Nice places to visit near by : skegness (alike most seaside resorts lots of arcades etc, lincoln (lincoln castle, wragbys maze, catherderal). Good for children, adventure playground, go karts, sports area. On site shop and chip shop (quite expensive) there is a lidl shop down the road at maplethorpe which is really cheap so best to avoid the onsite shop and have a drive down to there.
No photography allowed in the pool which is understandable but frustrating if you are wanting to capture moments of your children. Some nice places rto visit outside the resort but not much help in the leaflets by Haven , best visiting the tourist centres, or doing your research before you go.The adult entertainment does not start till around 22:30 and only lasts for half an hour. Childrens entertainment is vast, and lasts throughout the day and night
There are some terms and conditions of he holidays that I didnt realise until I had collected the vouchers and was ready to book
> you have to pay either a daily charge or one off charge on top of your holiday for power in your caravan.
> You are not guarenteed a holiday when sending off your vouchers
> Closing date for applications is Friday, August 8, 2008.
> "Parks offering full day and evening entertainment programmes may charge for optional Entertainment Plus Passes. Charges will range from £2 to £9 per person per break. Other parks may charge £1 to £8 per person per break for optional Clubroom Passes. Check your Park's description in this supplement for specific charges. " (the sun website)
> Insurance is not included but you can pay extra for it if you want it.
> You cant take pets.
> you have to take your own bed sheets and duvet covers (not the actual duvet) if you dont want to pay 12 pounds for them.
there are many more terms and conditions however these are the main ones
