Unlike Going Places, Thomas Cook its high street rival does have a web site. Although late in coming onto the market and requiring a redesign after the first few months, it is now trying to establish its position in the marketplace.

The holidays available on the web site are generally package tours which you would probably find on the windows of your high street branch. There is a function for searching which can help you find the availability you want but I found the choice limited.

If you are looking for a cheap package, try Thomas Cook or if you are feeling more adventurous, you can try Airtours auction site lateescapes.com which seems to have introduced reserve prices now. If you are more of the long haul independent traveller I wouldn’t bother and I would go to somewhere like cheapflights.com to find the best deal for you.
