Advantages: Great value airline tickets, friendly staff

Disadvantages: Could do with some more outlets

If you are looking to book a long haul flight with a scheduled carrier, then look no further than Trailfinders. With shops located in the City and Kensington High Street, branches are limited, but you can call their telephone reservations number. Look in one of the broadsheet weekend travel sections for their adverts and number.

I have always found them to offer the most competitive fares, even in comparison to student travel shops, such as STA. The staff are also amazingly helpful and well briefed.

They also organise car hire and hotels but I haven't tried them on this front!
