Travcour Visa AgencyNewest Review: ... Which is why I have done this review, hope it's useful! I chose Travcour in the end because the tour companies Exodus and Imaginative Traveller used them, working on the assumption that if Travcour wasn't reliable these companies would ditch them as it would reflect badly on them as well. Before I sent off the application, I phoned Travcour a couple times to sort out some of the details and the response to the calls was very quick and helpful. They were far more useful for questions about filling in the form than the official phone line set up by the India High Commission, who really should have been able to provide an answer but cou... more |

I recently used Travcour for my tourist Visa for India. It was less than a month before I needed to travel, and I just wanted it to be done quickly and easily. Living in Bristol I would have had to take time off work to get the Visa myself and also pay travel costs, so using a visa agency just made sense. I searched for reviews before I sent my visa, to see if any of the visa companies were seen as reliable and quick, but found very little information on them to help. Be VERY careful with this company. I applied for an Uzbekistan visa and was told several times over the phone that they would aquire the letter of for me. I duely filled in the forms and sent of the papers and payment only to be told that they NEVER aquire the authorization letters and that no one would have ever said that to me over the phone. A straight lie.
BUT they still cash my cheque and charge me for cancellation...
Altogether this cost me nearly £25 for NOTHING...
So what do Travcour do for you. Well they copy out your details onto a visa application form and pass it on to the embassy and charge you £30 for the privillege.
Cancellation is £11.95 - this when the application hasnt even left their desk
Postage - £7 - straight £2 profit from postage
My advice DO IT YOURSELF...

It's easy in these days of cheap flights and instant access to travel information to think that the world is your oyster and you can go anywhere at a moment’s notice for not much more than the cost of a night out. However, travel visas can be the little piece of grit in that oyster that sometimes stops us in our tracks and makes us think again about the concept of easy travel. If you like to spend your holidays in the European Union or in well-established tourist locations, you might get through life without having to even think about visas. But if you want to go to somewhere less established, a less developed part of the world or one where political systems are very ... Read the complete review
