They are an absolute waste of time! The call centre is in India with very poor English! They never and I mean never reply to your emails/faxes. They blatantly ignore your letters and openly refuse to call you back. They sold me a 'superior Orlando villa' which was 43% more expensive then the standard villa - I then found out there was no discernable difference between the two! When challenged they said it was the ambience that I was paying for!!!! I used them for the first time because I believed that they were the last bastion in the world of customer care! I could not have been more wrong! My travel agent gave up after 20 mins trying to contact their call centre--I tried later on in the day and it took me......35 mins on hold to speak to "an advisor" I then spent the next 2.5 hrs paying for the call while I 'talked' their staff through their own website so they could find the price panes!! they had no idea how to do it! Looking at the reviews on here it seems to me that if they get right and the accomodation is good, then no probs, but watch out if you need to raise a query or worst still complain! You may as well bang your head on a brick wall. I was truly shocked and saddened by my experience with Virgin Holidays, I thought they were the best..and guess what? I've not even packed for the trip yet!!! Speaks volumes methinks!! Check back on here after the 1st dec 2006 and I will give you an honest appraisal of the Holiday, be it good or bad..oh and I will try to quantify that ambience thing they have got going on that costs 43% more!!
