Virgin Holidays unlawfully took £4519.86 from my bank account on 21st January when I paid for my holiday in full on-line, it was Virgins error there system took my payment twice. It took two weeks for Virgin to refund it. I endured lengthy complicated calls to India and I sent two strong letters and copied Richard Bransons office. During this period I had four promises that the money would be refunded immediately, I have had no contact from Virgin no apologies so far. My bank account was completely depleted and my mortgage and other bills were due and were not paid during this period. I am absolutely dreading this holiday because of this experience so far, I have no confidence that Virgin will supply a good holiday, I booked because I thought Virgin had a good reputation. I am absolutely shocked that a company can get away with this and cause so much stress to an individual.
