      Very helpful

If you have never been to Wales before, I would recommend it ...

Wales Holidays is a company that specialises in letting self-catering cottages for holidays all over Wales, and averages having a choice of 555 cottages. It is the largest independent cottage holiday agency in the UK.

Their website address is www.wales-holidays.co.uk, and the website is very easy to navigate. At the top of the page are four 'tabs' which are: home, holiday areas, holiday seasons, and request a brochure.

      ~Home tab~
The home page gives a bit of information about Wales Holidays in both English and Welsh. At the bottom is the 'Special Offers' page. This gives you a list of all properties that have been discounted, and how much they have been reduced to. A link is given on each property so you can go directly to that property's page with photos, descriptions and up-to-date availability.

      ~Holiday areas tab~
This tab shows you a map of Wales, and how each part is split into sections and given a letter of the alphabet to identify a certain area. Down the left-hand side, the letters are then given with a description of that area, e.g. G is for Snowdonia and Lleyn Peninsula. If you would like to holiday in a certain part of Wales, then its on this page that you can click the letter for the relevant area, and all properties in that area will then be shown to you.

      ~Holiday seasons tab~
This tab has a calender, with the weeks in different colours, blue, yellow, red, green. Each colour shows a different holiday season, and there is a key above the calender, so you can find out which holiday season you are planning to go.

      ~Request a brochure tab~
If you would like to be sent a brochure which has details of every property letting with them, you can request a brochure by clicking on this tab, and submitting your details.

      ~Other info~
All other relevant information such as booking conditions, and cancellation procedures are all available also. At the top right-hand corner, there is another list, which will redirect you to whichever section you need to visit. There is also a tab for 'New Owners'. If you have a property in Wales that you may want Wales Holidays to let for you, click on 'New Owners' fill in your details and an information pack will be sent to you by post.

      ~Contacting them~
If you have any questions for Wales Holidays, i.e. help in finding the perfect cottage for you, you can either email them or call them on 01686 628200. So no premium numbers you need to dial!! If you would prefer to email them, at the bottom of the website page is a 'contact us' link. Just click on that, fill in your details, and then type your query in the comments box.

      ~How to book~
If you would like to book a holiday you can do so in 3 ways: online, post, or phone. If you are browsing through the properties and you see one you like, click on the availability tab above the photos, then click on the date you would like to go, and click 'book cottage' at the bottom of the page. Alternatively if you would like a short break click 'short break info'. Once your details have been submitted, an email will be sent to your email address confirming your booking.

If you would like to book by post, at the back of the brochure is a booking form, simply complete your details and send in the required deposit by cheque.

Or, you can book by calling Wales Holidays, where friendly and helpful staff will complete your booking.

      ~Where do they advertise~
They advertise on the internet, teletext, sky teletext, newspapers, magazines, radio times, whats on tv magazine, and many more!

      ~My opinion~
Wales Holidays has a small number of staff, that are always willing to help in the best way they can. If you have a query of suitable cottages, they are more than willing to call you back instead of keeping you on hold like most companies.

There are a wide range of properties on their books, from 2 star right up to 5 star, some with a pool, or hot tub, etc. Its definately worth having a look, and asking for a brochure.
