“ Brand: Antler / Type: Hand Luggage / Style: Cabin Bag „
My job requires me to do sleep-over shifts, which means I have to take a change of clothing and toiletries etc to work with me on these occasions.
A weekend bag or holdall is exactly what I need and this Antler Aeon weekend bag suits me perfectly.
Made of 420 Denier Nylon, this weekend bag benefits from superlight, flexible construction and a fully lined interior, as well as a 10 year warranty from Antler, which I personally think is great and made me confident that I was buying a travel bag that would last me well and not fall apart after a year or so of using it.
Indeed Antler's travel bags and luggage items all undergo lab tested durabilty, including being dropped onto concrete and handles tested mulitple times under varying weights to ensure quality and durability.
The bag is a navy blue colour and very smart to look at, as well as being surprisingly lighweight. I can easily fit a change of clothes and my toiletries inside with plenty of room to spare. There has been occasions where I have needed to carry books and files also, and have managed to fit two files and a book inside along with my overnight items and still the bag is not full.
Despite being able to fit a number of items inside the bag, it is not bulky or awkward to carry and does not take up a lot of room being 47cm in length. This also makes it ideal to take on holiday and I have used this bag for both nights away and also as hand luggage when travelling abroad.
I have always been able to fit everything I need into this bag for a night away, although any longer than that and I would need a larger bag than this, because I do like to take hair straighteners and my own hairdryer with me, which limits the amount of clothing I can fit into the bag.
The contents have always been protected well enough wherever I have travelled with this bag and it is showing no signs or wear and tear, despite being used every week for the last year. I have also found that any marks on my bag have washed off easily with soapy water.
The wide handles are easy to grip and the bag sits comfortably in my hand, but also has a shoulder strap which makes it easier to carry if the bag is full, such as when going on holiday.
Although there are cheaper travel bags around than this one, I believe that buying a cheaper bag could be false economy as based on usage so far, I have every reason to believe this travel bag is going to last me a number of years. I paid £39 for this bag when I bought it online over a year ago. It is available from various online retailers priced at between £40 - £50 and worth every penny.
