Advantages: Pretty design, waterproof front, plenty of room for a dayout

Disadvantages: Not big enough for a weekend's worth of stuff

I love Cath Kidston and so it doesn't take much to persuade me to purchase a new bag or accessory to add to my collection. I particularly like the vintage patterns, that give everything a country-cottage type feel. I bought my bag directly from a Cath Kidston shop and it cost me around £26, which is quite expensive for a bag. I would have to agree with the previous reviewer who said this bag was not really big enough for a weekend bag. Even when trying my hardest to travel light, I couldn't get a weekends worth of clothes and toiletries in here.

What I like about this bag is that it's made out of some kind of polyester that has a waterproof lining on the outside, meaning that not only is it wipeable but it is also waterproof for those occasional (or not so occasional) rain showers that are so common in the U.K. This means that I use this bags for weekend days out with the kids. It's big enough to fit in a small packed lunch each, a towel and a change of clothes, which means that it's a perfect slylish bag for days at the beach and in the park.

My bag is identical to the one on show here on dooyoo, with pretty red and pink roses all over it. There is a small Cath Kidston logo in the middle of the handles, which are made of the same fabric and are sturdy enough. The handles themselves are quite short and so I often just carry this like a holdall rather than putting it onto my shoulder. I suppose that could be a downside if you're running after a couple of young children. However, I love the pattern, so I don't have a problem with them.

All in all a great little weekend day bag, but definitely not big enough for fitting all of your things in for a weekend break. Go for the bigger version, which I received for Christmas this year and have just reviewed!

Summary: A weekend bag that really is better suited for days out than weekends away!
