“ Brand: Nike / Type: Hand Luggage / Style: Holdall / Duffle Bag „
The Nike T90 Holdall is my current gym bag; it is perfect as a kit bag because of the number of pockets, the size and overall feel of the bag. After my last bag started looking grubby and used, I decided it was time for a new one!
I bought the Nike bag from Argos in the summer sale, there was a number of other sports bags at a similar price but none that seemed to fit my requirements more than this one. I paid £12.99 for the bag and was really pleased with it.
The holdall I got was medium sized which is perfect for lugging a sports kit around and a change of clothes. The bag is around 26 cm tall by 50 cm long and has a depth of about 32cm. The bag comes in a number of different colours, I saw the same bag in JJB for £24.00, however it was sporting a new look design with blue and black swirls on. My bag is from the previous seasons range and is not so attractive; it is a plain red colour with black straps and a black mesh pocket.
The bag is made from a really thick nylon material and at the bottom of the Nike bag it is made from a waterproof tarpaulin material. This means that the bag is perfect for taking on a football or rugby pitch as you can set it down on wet grass and your belongings stay dry. It also supports the bag and helps keep its shape.
There are two carrying options for this bag, which is useful and depending on the weight of what I am hauling around depends how I carry it. There are two handles which meet together with a Velcro fastening. These handles are double stitched on with the material running all the way across the bag. This not only strengthens the handles but also helps to evenly distribute the weight; assisting with the carrying. The bag also comes with an adjustable shoulder strap, this has a section which is padded for comfort and prevents the bag from digging into your shoulder. This padded section is adjustable too so it doesn't matter what height you are. I like to use this strap but I wear it across my body as I find it much more comfortable.
*Interior and pockets*
I love pockets! I have a touch of OCD and like things to be in the right place and filed away! Therefore for me, it is important for a good bag to have enough pockets and places to stash things. The main body of the bag opens with a D shaped opening. Once fully open you can see the majority of the space, which means there is less chance of things getting lost down flaps and it also assists in being able to put items in quickly as there is plenty of room for manoeuvre. The zips on the main section are dual and you able to secure the bag with a small padlock as there is room for it to slip through. This is another very important feature, especially if you wanted to take the bag on board a plane and check it in.
At the left side of the bag there is zippered pocket and on this there is mesh pocket, which is deceivingly big! You can get a football in here and there is a Velcro fastener to secure it in place. A great place to store your ball! On the other side to this mesh pouch, there is another large zippered section which is big enough to hold a pair of dirty football boots or your trainers. I like this because it means I can keep my dirty shoes away from my clothes and towel etc.
This is a great sports bag and really meets my needs. My only concern comes with that the material my bag is made from gets really dirty really quick. My bag is a light red colour and it shows up all the dirt. I should really have gone for a darker coloured bag. I have put the bag in the washing machine before and it came out brighter and stain free, however a few weeks later it looked dirty again!
Nevertheless, a great bag and for £13.99, I have a good bag made by a well known sports brand that does exactly what I want it for!
