Advantages: Sturdy. Lightweight. Extendable handle. Inexpensive. Good size.
Disadvantages: Wish wheels twirled in all directions.
This is a storage box which can sit in the boot of my car - and can be used to wheel things to and from the car as it has wheels attached and a handle attached. Although I assume this is supposed to be used to take shopping, I actually mostly use it as a storage container in the back of my car - although I do occasionally use it to take my shopping out of the car and into the house. I find that if I put things in the boot of my car then it drives me mad to hear them rolling around in the back of the car - but if I put them in this container then it stops the items rolling over the boot - and it helps me to keep my sanity. The box, when not folded flat, is a really good size and I can fit quite a lot of things in the box at any one time. It's dimensions are 38cm x 33cm x 38cm - and despite having a fairly small boot (I have a Fiat 500), it does fit in nicely and neatly.
I like the fact that when I'm not using it to store things in, then it is possible to fold it flat and then it literally takes up no room in the boot of my car. This is useful for times when I'm going to be putting other things in the boot i.e. suitcases when I'm going to the airport - and I prefer to keep this in the car all of the time otherwise if I take it out then it's likely to sit in my garage and never be used.
The handle is extendable and so I can have it at a length which feels comfortable for me. The handle extends easily and doesn't get stuck whether being extended or pushed back in. The handle is aluminium and therefore it contributes to the lightweight design, but is also rigid and sturdy and feels unbreakable. The box part is made of plastic - but it is good quality plastic and it feels safe to actually put quite a lot of weight within the box. The information says that the box can hold 25kg, but actually I think I have put more than 25kg within the box and it's coped with it very well. The wheels are rubbery and so they have a a good grip, but they only go in a straight line and so I wish I had those wheels that you get on suitcases which twirl around in all directions because this would make pushing heavy loads a little smoother. The cart can be pulled up steps fairly easily, but it is a little harder to get it down the steps without a big jolt.
This cart cost me £10.00 from Amazon - which I think is a really good price. I do wish the design look of the cart was a little sexier as this is functional to the point of actually being quite ugly. However, overall, it's a good product and I recommend it.
Summary: Recommended.
