Advantages: Light weight and robust enough

Disadvantages: Wheels are rigid and do not handle tight corners easily

A couple of years ago an injury meant I could not do my normal job and so I took a few temping jobs, one of them was a three month contract with a company however I found that I was constantly hot desking as I had no permanent place assigned to me as I was effectively at the bottom of the office food chain. To make it easier to store my files and move around I bought one of these Rolston folding carts and it was £11.99 well spent indeed.

It is essentially a box on wheels with an extendable handle and when not in use it collapses down making it easy to store in the car boot or in my case alongside my desk. It is pretty stable so can also be used to store items in the boot and when the cold weather sets in I use it for just that purpose to store things like de-icer, boots and a small camping shovel as well as gloves and hats, the sort of things that would be useful if I broke down or got stuck in snow.

In terms of storage capacity it is pretty good, it is 38 x 33 x 38 cm with a 25kh weight limit which is plenty enough to handle a few A4 files and assorted stationary. The extendable handle can be adjusted to whatever length you find comfortable and the whole carry case is quite light. It is reasonably well made but it does not look like it would handle too much banging about as the collapsible frame while nice and light does look a little fragile. The wheels are small formed rigid rubber and handle level ground fine but are not so good over uneven ground such as a poor quality car park, however indoors it is fine and pretty stable when I'm pulling it along.

This is a great space saver and a convenient storage cart which given the low price has proven to be a worth while acquisition.

Summary: Good folding kart
