Advantages: Good use of materials, well designed, easy access to main compartment, well priced.

Disadvantages: No immediate problems encountered or anticipated.

I bought the Tripp Superlight Holdall directly from the Tripp.co.uk website a number of months ago with the intention of using it for a lads' weekend away in Blackpool recently. With 4 of us travelling in a 3-door Clio there were never going to be a great deal of space, so this was one consideration I made before my purchase. I needed something not too bulky, as space was of a premium, and the Tripp Superlight Holdall fitted my requirements in that regard. The holdall is made from 600 denier polyester, with silver coloured nylon for detail. The polyester is thick and robust, but also allows the holdall to be lightweight and not overly bulky. The holdall is reasonably spacious for just a weekend away (and a lads' one at that!), with a capacity of 22 litres. The zip feature at the opening to the holdall allows you to access the entire top edge of the holdall, with the zip going all the way around the edges of the bag for maximum access. The zips are comfortable to grip and no corners have been cut on the quality of materials throughout the manufacture of this product. There is a fairly comfortable shoulder strap, but I find the grab handle to be of much more use, as I never held anything too heavy in the bag during the weekend.

There is a useful and large front pocket on the holdall, and the main compartment is spacious and holds most of my belongings easily enough. Overall the quality of the holdall is satisfying. Advertised for £50 on the Tripp.co.uk website, the Tripp Superlight Holdall can be bought for less as Tripp have regular sales on, and some other retailers do sell their products if you look on comparison sites. As the overall cost came to just short of £20 I must say I am more than happy with the product. I expect it to last me many years, and with its plain and simple design I suspect it will stand up to many more of my expeditions. as this holdall is of a lightweight construction it is reasonably compact for storage and on the back of this experience with the Tripp brand I will certainly be keeping my eyes peeled for any more bargains that come about.

Summary: Can be found for under £20 on occassions and a good weekend bag.
