Last year I booked a holiday to Presthaven sands for my son, myself and my sister. We were going for just four nights but as we were staying in a caravan I thought it would be a good idea to take a few bits and bobs for my son to play with during the times that we were in the caravan. Usually I will just use a small suitcase but I didn't think this would be enough for this trip and so through my look again catalogue I purchased a pink trolley holdall for £30.00. The holdall is really bright pink and has black zips and straps. If you are a girl you are probably going to love it but it does come in some other colours for those who do not like or want pink! The reason I chose pink was because we were travelling on the holiday on a coach and I wanted to make sure I could spot my luggage easily when we got off. The holdall looks much like one of those big sports bags that tennis players carry all of their gear in during Wimbledon and to be perfectly honest I wasn't expecting it to be quite so large! The dimensions are 71 x 45 x 32cm and it is pretty big to be honest. The holdall is on wheels and does have a telescopic handle to make it easier to pull it along. It was only when I was packing the holdall for our trip that I realised the sheer size of it. I would say that this product would be more than equipped to handle two weeks worth of holiday luggage and then some gifts as well no doubt! I found that for my relatively short break away that all of my clothes and things were just flapping around inside the holdall because there were none of those little straps which you usually get in a suitcase to strap down your items so as soon as I stood the holdall up everything just fell to the bottom of it! Not ideal by a long shot! The holdall is easy to open though with a large zip which goes round most of the bag meaning when you come to pack you have a big space to work with. Taking the holdall on public transport and then on the coach was quite tricky too because it is pretty bulky and so storing it on the bus to the coach station wasn't easy at all. Also walking with the holdall to the stations wasn't the easiest of tasks as it didn't feel all that steady on the wheels and the handle was a little wobbly at points too. Don't get me wrong, nothing broke, but it was too bulky really for my needs especially being that it was almost as big as me anyway! Ok, I exaggerate a bit but I am only five foot one and it was big for me really. I did like the colour of the holdall and the fact that it had a couple of pockets for storing bits and bobs in. However, it just didn't feel as secure or as protective as a suitcase would have and this is my own fault really as I should have thought a bit more and purchased a smaller case which would have met our needs better but at the time it felt like it would be a good option. The holdall currently is under my bed and I have been on holidays since and left it at home so I doubt very much it will ever come back out which is a real waste of money. I wouldn't really recommend this product as I am sure you can probably tell. Thank you for reading my review!
