 ... way DK Eyewitness books are layed out. They have a great mix of text and images, and I love the maps and walks, with information on what to look out for. My boyfriend and I took it to London and found it really useful to have with us to notice those sights we'd never noticed and to have information that we didn't know before. I am a fairly regular visitor to London from the South Coast, and have been there many times since I was a child. I saw this book in a book shop, and whilst I have knowledge of the usual sights of London I picked this up as I very much like the way DK Eyewitness books are layed out. They have a great mix of text and images, and I love the maps and walks, with information on what to look out for. My boyfriend and I took it to London and found it really useful to have with us to notice those sights we'd never noticed and to have information that we didn't know before. I am a great believer in travel guides and the best of the best is definitely 'Eyewitness Travel Guides'. As I mentioned when I reviewed the Great Britain travel guide the only disadvantage of these books are that they are heavy. The books are printed on good quality glossy paper and the 'London' travel guide weighs about 640g. The 'London' travel guide consists of 448 pages of comprehensive travel and sightseeing information about this beautiful and interesting city. It starts off with a colour-coded map of central London.
