I have so many of these walking books and they are all brilliant.

These shorter walks are a range of 3-6 miles and we use them for days when we only have a morning to fit a walk in instead of a whole day!

These have OS maps in them too for a route of the walk. This is great as they are generally short walks but the auther still finds the effort to put a little map in them.

Having the map you can check out any extensions tot he walk or even short routes.

I am not a fan of walking past farms in case the farm dog runs out in a not so good mood and so it is great to look ahead on the map and see where the farms are according to the maps and either make a diversion or proceed with care!

The actual walks in this book are brillaint and a nice choice of areas in a place which I thought would not be such a nice area to walk in. There are always some walks in the book wheich are not to everyones taste but that is just what you have to expect as not everything can suit everyone!

The books are A6 size and so great to slide in your back pocket or side pocket of walking trousers.

They will get drenched in a downpour but that is the fun in hiking, everything has to get soaking!
