Having used the full size Rough Guides for many years, I have always found them to be an extremely useful combination of background culture and history, together with practical advice on sightseeing, eating out and living on a budget. When I looked for a Rough Guide to take on a short visit to Lisbon, I was immediately attracted by the pocket version; the Pocket Rough Guide Lisbon seemed to be exactly what I needed. ~~What the Pocket Guide is Missing~~ Measuring 19 x 9.6 x 1.2 cm, the Pocket version is about 2/3 smaller in size than a normal Rough Guide, and about 75% thinner.
