Post Office Travel Insurances ... took the post office travel insurance out for my partner and i on our last holiday. I have to say it was very quick and simple. You can do at your local post office, on the phone or via their website, which is what i did. Theres the usual questions, and within a few minutes it was all sorted. I received all the documents in the post very quickly, and was quite happy with the price. We were quoted £25 each, for the slightly higher than basic package. In comparison to some other travel insurance companies, the post office, offered much better compensation in the event of a claim, and the price was much lower. Budget Travel Insurance ... much you want to save money when it comes to having the holiday you look forward to all year round, get the insurance right and you won t regret it. We took out an insurance policy this year to go for a summer holiday. Budget insurance came out ridiculously cheap, so we didn t hesitate to take up the policy. As always, the small print says it all, you get what you pay for. My partner was experiencing severe headaches and dehydration, so we went to the local medical centre and was seen to straight away. We were advised that insurance companies often pay up front to cover these fee s, but no, not budget insurance! Next we discovered that there was a £75 excess!... Insure and Go ... bought a long term backpacker policy from these jokers back in April for around £170. As I had previous medical conditions I rang up to take the policy out where I was assured my conditions were covered as standard and not to worry. I also explained that i would be going abroad for 3 months then returning to the UK for 2 months before going away again for a year, again I was assured this was not a problem. Brilliant I thought but how wrong I was. The problems started after I got ill in Europe and had to be admitted into hospital, I paid everything thinking it ll be ok I can claim it back.
